Born in the damp North West of England, Caitlin has been striving ever since to escape, making it to London at the end of 2008.
Caitlin has played drums for many groups north of the midlands ranging from original and cover incarnations of pop, indie, rock and metal.
Failed exposure to various musical instruments didn’t prevent Caitlin from discovering the Drums purely by chance in a music class at the age of 13.
Shy nerves caused a couple of weeks of intense personal study to avoid embarrassment before being forced to play ‘the kit’ in front of her peers and that intensity has never been lost.

She wanted to study at the world famous Drumtech academy during her teenage years, but sound steering of her parents kept her on a productive schooling route. She combined her escape to London with the opportunity for the study she’d hoped for at Drumtech, completing the Master Performance course and graduating to become an Associate of the Trinity College London, which is a really lovely certificate, it must be said.

She plays with passion and intense concentration with very solid time; lots of pocket. Have a look see at the video proof over here.

She also works as a sound engineer and promoter for Showcase55 alongside a day job striving to make last.fm the most awesome music site on the internet.
